Shades of a Fighting Game

You're gonna get a kick out of this one, folks! Earlier back we showed off the legendary GutsImpact command code making a return to Chrono X. Go read the update covering that here! When we implemented it, we also knew that it would require every form to have that nice kick animation for it. So, when we did that work, we decided to do something kinda clever...

Install this!

Ta-daa! Naturally we already explained that we're expanding the list of options. On command, you can literally kick an enemy's DataTeeth in, pushing them down the field.

Let's see that in action!

MAHVEL BABY

Always bully your opponents. Always. But this also goes back to efficiency of our design. Some things can exist as a installable side upgrade that can alter the very way you approach battles. It's almost like you have a BattleChip on the side that you can dish out whenever. And hey, we put in the work for spriting that kick animation for every single form we're going to have, so why not let the player use it how they wish? Everyone wins all around.

Hm...I wonder if RockCubes are affected. Hum. Something to think about. Anyways, I actually have a really cool change to a chip you guys know about. That will be in the next update post coming...very soon. And it will be in 5.1! Any guesses as to what it is? We're gonna make that the focus of our next update, so let me go talk to MaxRock and get a new build. Fun testing time for me.
