It’s time for another project update. It’s getting quite tricky figuring out what to tease. There’s a fine line you need to walk between showing just enough and too much.
But I think you’ll like what we’re presenting this time. Remember the Discharge chip? The one that dropped from the bunny viruses with sunglasses? Let’s talk about him.
Discharge now sports an updated chip description and damage. But that's not the only thing! Let's see it in action.
I really did dig the concept of a chip like this. It hits around you, and that's useful in ways simple projectiles aren't.
You may acquire this chip shortly after you meet the Bamboo Turtle virus shown in that GIF. Meaning, the chip you get later helps counter the virus you just fought! It isn’t a Fire-elemental BattleChip, but that doesn’t mean the chip can’t address the virus in some way.
Not only did Discharge get a new sprite for Base MegaMan and each of his new transformations, but also it’s been given a slight bit of extra range and power. That’s good, but what can we do with that?
Let’s install a new Navicust Program. Remember this one from a few update posts prior? You’ll be able to kick on-command and push your enemies or objects away. Now let’s apply this program to this BattleChip and…

Discharge’s new implementation will be playable in the next public update. Speaking of which, the last bit of changes we want to do will happen very quickly. I’m not worried about it at all. But there is future content and assets we’re implementing first. We finished content far ahead of what we plan to release first, and I think we’ll want to iron that out before anything else. Then we’ll focus solely on the next public update. Look for that.
